Drum set lessons focus on learning to play the full drum kit, including the bass drum, snare drum, hi-hat, toms, and cymbals. Students will learn the basics of drumming technique and rhythm, progressing to more advanced concepts such as playing fills, solos, and various groove styles. They will also learn to read drum sheet music and play different genres of music, from jazz to rock and metal. Drum set lessons are ideal for both beginners and experienced drummers who wish to develop their skills further.

Guitar lessons focus on teaching students how to play chords, power chords, and scales. They will also develop their fingerpicking and strumming techniques and learn to read guitar tabs and sheet music. Students will be introduced to various genres of music, including rock and pop, and will have the opportunity to learn how to play their favourite songs on the guitar. Guitar lessons are suitable for beginners and those who want to improve their existing skills.

Ukulele lessons are an excellent option for beginners who want to learn a fun and portable instrument. During these lessons, students will learn the fundamentals of playing chords, strumming patterns, and melodies on the ukulele. They will also develop their fingerpicking skills and learn to read tabs and sheet music. Students will be exposed to a variety of musical styles, including Hawaiian, folk, and pop, and will have the opportunity to learn how to play popular ukulele songs.

Percussion lessons encompass a broad range of instruments, including hand percussions such as bongos, djembe, congas, and cajon, as well as mallet and auxiliary percussions such as vibraphone, shakers, maracas, claves, and more. During these lessons, students will learn to read sheet music, develop their drumming technique and rhythm, and play in different time signatures. They will also explore various styles of percussion music, from jazz to rock and Latin, and have the opportunity to play a diverse range of percussion music styles from around the world.

Students will dive into techniques like fingerstyle and slap bass, honing their ability to hold down the rhythm and groove of a song. Lessons cover scales, arpeggios, and fretboard navigation, empowering students to create engaging basslines across various music genres. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to enhance your bass skills, these lessons provide the expertise needed to become a proficient bassist.

A: Music lessons can provide numerous benefits, including improved cognitive function, enhanced memory and concentration, increased self-esteem, and stress relief. Learning an instrument can also provide a creative outlet and a sense of accomplishment.

Children can start taking music lessons as early as three or four years old, depending on the instrument and the child's level of maturity. It's important to consider the child's physical ability to handle the instrument and their attention span when deciding if they are ready to start lessons. A: Students will need access to an instrument to practice at home. To get you started, I am happy to provide my expertise and guidance to help you source a new or used instrument for purchase. Depending on the instrument, there may also be a rental option available from a local music store if you are not ready to commit to purchasing at this time.

A: The cost of lessons varies depending on the length of the lesson. Typically, I recommend starting with a weekly 30-minute lesson, which costs $30 online or at my studio and $40 for a session at your home. I also offer 45-minute lessons and 1-hour lessons, depending on the skill level and needs of the student.
